The Best Exercises to Tone-Up Your Arms
It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female, it seems everyone would like to have well-toned arms.
Are you always looking for shirts, or tops that can cover up your arms because you’re too embarrassed to have other people see them? If you’re one of many people who are bothered with flabby or unshapely arms, you don’t have to be
anymore.
There are exercises that can help you tone up those biceps and triceps, and let you proudly show off your arms whether it’s in a short sleeve t-shirt, or a strapless gown.
Here are some of the Best Exercises for your Arms.
Biceps
• To begin with, always use caution when working with free weights to prevent any serious injury.
If you’ve never lifted weights before women may want to start with 5 pound dumbbells and gradually work your way up to heavier weights. Of course, men may want to begin with heavier dumbbells, and increase the weight as well.
First of all, stand with your feet apart and position them parallel to your hips. Hold the dumbbells in the palm of your hand out in front of you also parallel to your hips. Keeping your arms close to your sides slowly lower the dumbbells down to your side and then slowly bring up the dumbbell to the starting position. Repeat this action 8-10 times.
For an added variation for an even more defined bicep, hold the dumbbells down at your side with your palms facing inward. Turn your palms up as you slowly raise the dumbbell upward towards your chest. Slowly lower the dumbbell down to your side turning your palms downward as they reach your side. Repeat this action 8-10 times.
A more defined bicep from lifting weights can help your arms look and feel healthier and stronger.
Triceps
• Again, it’s best to start with a lighter weight for both men and women when beginning this exercise until you are comfortable with a heavier weight.
Start with your feet slightly apart and hold one dumbbell in your hand. With your palm facing inward raise your arm upward but not fully extended behind the side of your head with your elbow bent. Lower the dumbbell downward almost behind your head keeping to the side, and keep your other hand gripping the underside of your arm. Slowly raise the dumbbell upward from behind but do not fully extend your elbow out. Repeat this action 8-10 times and continue with the other arm, repeating the same procedure again.
Overall Arm Appearance
• Arm circles are a great exercise to utilize the whole arm muscle.
Extend both of your arms outwards, with your palms facing downward and begin making small circular movements forward with your arms. After about 20 repetitive actions start increasing the circle span of your arms and repeat wide arm circles another 10 times. Rest for a few seconds and repeat this exact same action, except reverse the movement of your arms and circle your arms backwards. This exercise can help improve and tighten the muscles in the arms giving your arms a more toned appearance that can help you with flabby and sagging skin.
Remember, it’s best before starting any weight lifting regimen to consult with your doctor if you have any medical condition that may restrict you from these exercises.
Exercise can help you attain the toned arms that will help you look and feel much better about yourself.
